A former fishermen’s village, Rafailovici (2km from Budva) started attracting thousands of people about 15 years ago. Today, it’s probably the most crowded place around Budva, and that’s why I’d recommend avoiding it in the peak season. But the early summer days are perfect for walking along the narrow promenade or enjoying a fish plate at one of its few restaurants.

Kotor farmer’s market, under its Medieval walls, is a famous attraction on the Montenegrin coast. It is definitely worth visiting, especially on Saturday morning when the farmer’s stalls are the richest. If you are in Kotor on any other weekday, however, don’t miss an opportunity to check out the local goods and taste some unusual delicacies.
