21 May 2019 - Representatives of Public Enterprise Parking Service of Budva stated that last year's seasonal offer of 2000 parking lots would be significantly increased, and starting from the summer season 2019, Budva will offer new parking lots near beach Jaz and in Petrovac. These parking lots are currently undergoing adaptation.

Most of the tourists who come to Budva by car calculate their holiday costs by summing the expenses for accommodation, food, night parties, and the use of beach equipment.  It is evident that tourists rarely take parking costs into account. Of course, faced with a lack of available parking lots, tourists are willing to pay high prices just to solve the problem of safe car parking.

There is generally very little free parking space in Budva that is not charged, which forces tourists to have to make a good calculation of whether they will walk to the beach or go by car during each beach trip.

Municipal Public Enterprise Parking Service currently owns nine parking lots in Budva and Petrovac, with about 2,000 parking lots, which are practically filled to the last during the summer season, especially in the evening hours. The Parking Service Budva finally announced the expansion of the parking lot in the city.

Two parking lots began operating in Petrovac yesterday - the parking lot near the Post Office and the parking lot Voli. These lots played a significant role when it comes to parking services in Petrovac last year, as Budva was still facing a massive problem in this field.

As far as Budva is concerned, after a short winter break, drivers are already able to look for a parking lot near the Post Office 2, which is located in the city centre. Also, it is certain that the garage in Rafailovići will be operational within a couple of days, state the representatives of the Municipal Parking Service.

19 May 2019 - The first Herceg Novi regatta named Herceg Novi Sailing Tour is being organized by the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi in ​​cooperation with the Sailing Club Jugola Grakalić, the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Hotel Lazure.

The event, which will take place on June 1, includes an umpires and skippers boat race. The regatta will be held in the waters of the Bay of Kotor within the territory that belongs to the Herceg Novi Municipality.

The sailing tour, which will mark the official beginning of the 2019 summer sailing season, starts in front of Marina Lazure in Meljine and runs around the island of Mamula. Then the ships sail towards their goal - the city port of Herceg Novi.

Fifteen crews are expected to compete, and the Montenegrin sailor that competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's Laser class, Milivoj Dukić will also take part in the sailing tour. The list of the participants in the regatta will include musician and sailor from Herceg Novi, Rambo Amadeus.

In anticipation of the Herceg Novi Sailing Tour, Milivoj Dukić said: "Herceg Novi is becoming richer for yet another port of nautical tourism, in this case, Lazure Marina & Hotel in Meljine. Therefore, the Sailing Club Jugola Grakalić, which I represent today, and the Tourist of Organzation Herceg Novi, came up with the idea to organize the regatta of large ships. We are becoming richer for another regatta and our goal is to attract as many participants and visitors, because every time our boats sail into the sea, we send the best picture to nautical tourism lovers all over the world."

Starting from May 27, all competing boats can be docked at the Lazure Marina and await their official registration within the regatta. On May 31, the organizers have prepared a special cocktail at the Lazure Marina for all the participants within the event.

The sailors will meet for the race on June 1 at 9:30 am, and the official start of the regatta will be at 11 am. The finishing point of the sailing tour is the city port Škver, and sailing enthusiasts can await the boats at this point at 1 pm.

The Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi and the Sailing Club Jugola Grakalić have prepared a traditional fish and wine celebration accompanied by local entertainment and music from 1 pm to 5 pm. The award ceremony will be held also on June 1, at 9 pm.

The representatives of the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi are inviting all sailing enthusiasts to experience the unique regatta moment when the first boat will officially sail for the first time on June 1. All visitors will be able to enjoy an exciting and competitive racing and the onshore camaraderie! 

17 May 2019 - Summer 2019 sees the launch of Porto Montenegro Yacht Club’s (PMYC) new beach facility combining a waterfront bar and sun deck surrounded by lush subtropical vegetation, as well as an adjacent beach gym and volleyball court.

With its distinct personality, the beach adds more than 1500 square meters of recreational space dotted with palm trees, bamboo and agapanthus. The main seating area features nautical blue, beige and white sun loungers, cabanas and hammocks, as well as a family zone with bean bags and beach bats, with full waiter service provided by the PMYC’s pool staff. The family zone is located next to a newly built marina. All construction works in regards to the beach and the surrounding infrastructure have been completed, and will soon be fully ready to host the first tourists!

The Kotor-based company "Briv Construction" was in charge of building a beautiful sandy beach which covers 3600 square meters within the exclusive marina and yachting paradise - Porto Montenegro. This company also had the privilege of constructing the gorgeous Lido Pool Porto Montenegro, one of the most attractive pools in the world, the luxury 5-star Regent Hotel, a high-class residential building Teuta, and many other projects on the coastal area of Montenegro.  

The beach area includes a 40-seater bar overlooking the Yacht Club jetty of racing yachts, which has wooden decking, rattan furniture and classic deck chairs accompanied by a selection of dishes from the PMYC’s Mediterranean-inspired menu. An extensive cocktail list comes into its own each evening as the bar transforms into a relaxed outdoor venue for drinks and entertainment.

Themed parties and crew-friendly barbecues are scheduled all summer as well as a series of open-air ‘silent cinema’ screenings using the latest in wireless headset technology. Set back from the waterfront, a volleyball net is available for PMYC members and guests to use on a first-come-first-served basis with either professional quality volleyballs or Frescobol Carioca handmade beach bats. The adjacent beach gym features nautically inspired training equipment designed by Biofit in sustainable oak and natural fiber rope. Bespoke wooden dip bars, gym benches, jump boxes and weight racks were commissioned from a local shipwright and kettlebells have been painted in the Yacht Club’s burgee colours.

Day memberships for the PMYC Beach including a sunbed and access to the outdoor gym, volleyball and main 64-metre pool are Eur 42/person or Eur 30 for PMYC Silver Members while a beach cabana for three people is Eur 250/day with a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne.

15 May 2019 - Montenegro has ten exhibitors at the fair bringing together all the important actors of agribusiness from the region, including some of the most successful Montenegro's companies.

 "The fact that the exhibitors from Montenegro have won 163 medals for quality this year speaks volumes about the quality of domestic products and the profitability of investments in this sector," Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić said at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina Đorđe Milicević, which took place within her visit to the 86th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.

Montenegro has a common stand of 117m2 in the Master Hall, consisting of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism. Minister Sekulić pledged full support to the private sector, through the creation of numerous support programmes for entrepreneurs.

"Last year we supported over 100 companies, which is about 50% more than in the previous year, and we are sure that this number will increase this year," she stressed.

The Economy Minister added that Serbia, when it comes to trade, is Montenegro's most important partner, both in exports and imports.

Montenegro also participated in the International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad during the last year. On this occasion, Montenegrin businesspeople had a successful presentation at a joint stand organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro in partnership with the Montenegrin Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Economy and the Investment and Development Fund. 

15 May 2019 - The long list of manifestations organized under the auspices of the Tivat Municipality is now richer with yet another event - the Tivat Souvenir Fair, which will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, on the promenade Pine in Tivat. The event will begin at 10 am and will last until 6 pm.

Numerous exhibitors will present their souvenirs and handicrafts within this event, organized by NGO "Harlekin" and also under the auspices of the Tourism Organization of Tivat.

The Tivat Souvenir Fair gives visitors the opportunity to meet the leading suppliers of souvenirs and recreational products and support their hard work and effort by purchasing the exhibited handicrafts.

Manufacturers, wholesalers, and importers of gifts, recreational products, and souvenirs all look forward to the event, hoping for the positive feedback by the visitors and customers of this year’s Souvenir Fair edition.

The Tivat Souvenir Fair brings the manufacturers into direct contact with interested visitors and potential buyers of their products. 14 May 2019 - The most significant regional neurologists meeting, "The Adriatic Neurology Forum 2019", will take place in Bečići, Montenegro from May 22 to May 26, 2019. The main organizer of this event is the Society of Serbian Neurologists, and the co-organizers are the Society of Croatian Neurologists and Society of Montenegrin Neurologists.

The official opening of the Adriatic Neurology Forum 2019 is scheduled for May 23 at 7 pm, and the venue of the event is Hotel Splendid Spa & Conference Resort, as well as Hotel Montenegro in Budva, a gorgeous place on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro. The symposium will be attended by the leading names in medicine dealing with neurology in the entire region, but also the most famous neurologists from all over the world. The lectures will be held by carefully selected foreign and domestic lecturers.

One of the most important aspects of this meeting is the presentation of the participants’ practices and experiences. Therefore, the organizers expect all participants to take an active part in all sessions, particularly in the poster session. The forum will share new experience and knowledge from various neurological areas.

The holding of this symposium in Bečići is of great importance for the promotion of Montenegro as a tourist destination.

Speakers at the forum include eminent professors from the region as well as from EU. Honourable guests of the Forum will be Zlatibor Lončar, Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Kenan Hrapović, Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Montenegro.

On May 22, the program includes participant registration, the opening ceremony, an introductory lecture by Academician Vladimir S. Kostić and a small cocktail event. The lectures within the second day program cover the following topics: Parkinsonism (Academician Vladimir S. Kostić, prof dr Marina Svetel, prof dr Tomislav Babić ), Dementia (Prof. dr Elka Stefanova, doc dr Smiljana Kostić, prof dr Fran Borovečki) and Epilepsy and Unexplained loss of consciousness (Prof dr Ranko Raičević, prof dr Silvio Bašić, prof dr Meir Bialer).

The program for May 24 includes the lectures on Cerebrovascular diseases - neurovascular procedures (Prof. dr Ranko Raičević, dr. sc. med Ljubo Marković, dr. sc. med Slobodan Ćulafić), MS (Prof. dr Jelena Drulović, prof. dr Vanja Bašić-Kes, prof dr Evica Dinčić) and NMOSD (Prof. dr Evica Dinčić, prof. dr Gordana Tončev, prof Slobodan Vojinović). Lectures on the topics Headaches and neurotrauma, Neuromuscular diseases and Child neurology will take place on May 25, while the closing ceremony and certificate of attendance delivery are planned for May 26.

Registration of participants is mandatory for all participants except for foreign invited lecturers. Registration fee can be paid within the entire arrangement, in advance or on the spot. The registration fee includes registration, registration set, right to participate in all official and accompanying programs, access to the opening ceremony, welcome cocktail and gala evening, certificate of attendance.

14 May 2019 - According to data published by Montenegro Airlines, the company achieved remarkable results in the first four months of 2019, and judging by the predictions, the trend of successful business performance of the national carrier of Montenegro will continue in the future.

"The company transported 130.010 passengers in all three categories of traffic - regular, charter and codeshare, with 1.824 flights. Compared to the record year, 2018, the current results show 7,000 more passengers, i.e. 112 additional flights," announced the PR service of Montenegro Airlines.

According to the published data, the average occupancy of the passenger cabin in the aircraft of this company in the first four months of 2019 is 61 per cent, which is 3 per cent more than last year.

Montenegro Airlines has made great progress in the field of business performance, and the aforementioned results have been achieved based on newly implemented strategies aimed at improving services and expanding capacities.

"The destinations that recorded the highest growth in transported passengers in the observed period were to and from Belgrade, where the growth of the number of passengers transported compared to 2018 amounted to 3,000 passengers; to and from Rome and Paris, where the growth of 1,440 passengers was recorded; as well as to and from Ljubljana, where the number of passengers increased by 1,146," said Montenegro Airlines.

It is important to note that since May 5, Montenegro Airlines introduced the flight to and from Hanover, the fifth flight that connects Montenegro with Germany. Flights to this destination will be carried out from Tivat twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until October 24th. Launching the new flight speaks to the fact that Montenegro Airlines is well aware of the importance of establishing good airline connections to foreign markets, which will certainly influence the growth of the total number of passengers transported, and the increase in the number of tourists arriving from other countries.

In 2019, national carrier Montenegro Airlines will connect Montenegro with over 30 destinations in 15 different countries of Europe.
