June 22, 2018 - The beach, covered in white pebbles, over 300m long and 15m wide, is surrounded by thick Mediterranean vegetation and protected by the Arza reef from the impact of strong waves.

Probably the best-known beach on the Luštica Peninsula, Žanjic Beach is also called President Beach. There was a time when Tito used this bay as a private beach. This is one of the most attractive swimming and picnic areas in Herceg Novi which, during the season, can be easily reached by tourist boats. It is encircled by two verdant headlands, giving it sheltered clear waters and a gently sloping shoreline. The beach is surrounded by olive groves.

There are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as grocery stores. Regular boats ply the waters to the Blue Cave, Dobrec, Mamula, Island Church (Otok Žanjice, as well as to Herceg Novi and other points on the mainland.
The beach is clean, there are plenty of facilities, and the water is warm, clear, and perfect for swimming.

In the summertime, you can get there by a private boat from Herceg-Novi, Igalo and Meline. The boats depart every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and comes back from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The beach is gravel and there is no sand, therefore the water is very clean and clear. One should be careful about entering the water because of big large cobbles and sea urchins.

In ten minutes walking distance from the main beach, there is Mirištа Bay. The shore consists of concrete platforms, which rise stepwise up to the dense forest. It is marked by amazing landscapes and fresh forest air.
