Mamula

The fort Mamula, named after the Austro-Hungarian general who built it, was erected in the 19th century on the small, round-shaped island known in Medieval times as Rondina and located 6km from Herceg Novi. A part of the Lustica peninsula fortification, a former concentration camp, the Mamula is now supposed to be turned into a luxury resort similar to Sv. Stefan.
