June 20, 2018 - Klapa is the name of a traditional form of acapella group singing common in the Dalmatian region and Montenegrin coast, especially in the Boka bay. Charming voices singing lovely Mediterranean melodies is one of the most touching and authentic experiences in the area. The mastery of vocal expression is annually celebrated at the International Klapa Festival in Perast. This unique event will take place this summer from June 28-30, on the St. Nikola Place, and will host klapa groups from Pag, Međugorje, Kotor, Omiš, Dubrovnik, Korčula, Rovinj, Herceg Novi and other cities representing both male and female singing.

TMN carefully listened to an interview about this wonderful event given by the director of the Klapa Festival Milan Kovačević to the Antena M radio at the end of last month.
