June 24, 2019 - The Weeks of Hungarian Culture in Montenegro lasts until the end of September. During this period, 24 programs will be organized, of which the central event, the performance of the Symphonic Orchestra Danubia Orchestra Obuda will be held within the framework of the KotorArt Festival Don Branko's Music Days, on 21 July in front of the Cathedral of Sv. Tryphon. All programs under the Weeks of Hungarian Culture in Montenegro are under the auspices of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The first event that awaits us at KotorArt is the announced concert of KotorArt of the International Festival of Klapa on 27 June, at St. Nicholas Square in Perast, which will feature the a capella group the Fool Moon. Within the framework of KotorArt, at the Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children, on 11 July a show The Dream of Emese will be organized, based on the sand animation of the world-renowned Hungarian artist and director of animated films, Cako Ferenc. The dream of Emese has been through the centuries of Hungarian history, and a unique artistic expression will provide the audience with the opportunity to enjoy a lively, impressive, sandy animation that is living in front of them, like a movie.

Within the KotorArt Don Branko's Days of Music, we expect several events. In the frame of the Port of Art series, the famous jazz singer Mirtij Mišeler will feature on 30 July in Porto Montenegro, while Luštica Bay will delight the audience on 1 August with the highly acclaimed Hungarian pop-rock star Ildiko Keresteš, also known as "Hungarian Tina Tarner." The previously announced central event is the concert of the Symphony Orchestra of the Old Buda Danubia, at a show called Zenehíd (Most Music).

It is a great pleasure for us to be partners of the Hungarian Embassy in organizing the event of the Sunday of Hungarian Culture in Montenegro. What is remarkable is that the audience will have the opportunity to get familiar with Hungarian history and culture through various events, and also to make their performers familiar with ours. Namely, at the central event, the Concert of the Danubia Obuda Symphony Orchestra under the conductor Mate Hamori, in addition to attractive compositions from Hungarian Music Literature, the orchestra will also be performed by Gusle, Montenegrin composer Nina Perovic.

We believe that such art bridges are essential both for bilateral cooperation and for our European perspective in the field of culture and we are proud that we are in a position to cooperate with our partners in Hungary with such high quality and multidimensional projects, said the PR of the Festival.

The international Festival KotorArt, a nationally significant event for the culture of Montenegro, is the winner of the most prestigious award in the field of tourism - "Wild Beauty Awards" and declared the best cultural manifestation in Montenegro for 2018. Also, the holder is a European seal for quality "EFFE Label." Every summer, KotorArt brings together an impressive number of international artists, with over 200 programs (more than a tenth of the major and over a hundred accompanying) at numerous ambient locations in Kotor and across Boka attracts more tens of thousands of visitors, making it one of the most visited festivals of this type in the region. The KotorArt International Festival is held under the patronage of the Kotor Municipality and the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro with the support of numerous sponsors such as Luštica Bay, Coca-Cola, Porto Montenegro, and others.
