Comic Strip Festival Today in Budva

October 4, 2018 - Fans of the Ninth Art have the opportunity to meet our famous artists Luka Lagator and Mirko Zulić today in Budva and to enjoy theirs, as well as the exhibition by the students of the School of Comics and Illustrations, working under the auspices of Budva National Library since March 2017.

The Comic Strip Festival called Stripovanje is being organized today by the Budva National Library. The festival consists of two segments.

The first part of the festival that takes place in the Budva National Library is intended for young people who want to learn how to draw comic books and illustrations. The National Library organizes workshops of comics led by Simon Vučković, and since March 2017, more than 200 students from five to eighteen years old passed through this school.

Official guests and lecturers of the Comic Strip Festival “Stripovanje” are famous comic artists Luka Lagator and Mirko Zulić who will be presented at the National Library of Budva at 16.00. After that, at 16.30, a one-hour workshop of comics and socializing with the aforementioned lecturers will be realized, followed by an exhibition of students of the School of Comics and Illustrations, which will be open at 18.15 at the National Library.

The second part of the program of the Festival Stripovanje takes place in the Cadmus Cineplex, where at 20.00 there will be exhibitions of renowned festival guests - Luka Lagator and Mirko Zulić.

The organizer of the program and initiator of the School of Comics and Illustrations is the Budva National Library, and the Comic Strip Festival, along with the Cadmux Cineplex, is also supported by the Association of Montenegrin Comic Artists and the Tourist Organization of Budva. For all programs of a one-day festival dedicated to ninth art, entrance is free.
