October 3, 2018 - The great rise of Mornar over the last few years will be properly rewarded this season. After the Fiba Champions League match, the Montenegrin championship in basketball will be part of the very strong European Cup, a competition that is practically the Euro League 2.

Mornar already waits for a super attractive rival - and tonight at 7 p.m., Unics from Kazan will arrive in Montenegro. "We have a team that is probably better than many teams in the European league," says the coach of Mornar Mihailo Pavićević.

The best player of the European Cup two years ago, Erik Mekalum, won the duel with Unics in 2017. Džamar Smit, once of Real and New York Knicks, Moris Ndur, as well as Russian Anton Ponkrašov, are just some of the stars that will be on the court at Topolica. And they will be led by the best Greek coach of 2016, Dimitris Priftis.

"Unics is an absolute favorite both as a team and in relation to the current form we are in," Pavićević added.

And the form at the start of the ABA league was not good, as the Montenegrin champion was defeated in Ljubljana 87:66.

"Our first match in the European Cup was to try to improve ourselves and bring up our form," Pavićević said. "Of course, it will be very difficult against an exceptionally strong opponent, but this is a great opportunity for our fans to see a real top team in action."

Maybe Unics is the big favorite, but Mornar will also have a big motive tonight.

"It is unfortunate that the impression from Ljubljana against Olimpija has to be repaired against a very strong team like Unics. We will do everything to finish the game with an applause from the audience in Bar," said the center of the Montenegrin champion - Uroš Luković.

Therefore, everything is ready for a basketball feast in Bar and there is no doubt that Unics is the strongest team to arrived in Topolica so far.
