July 02, 2018 - Hotel “Play”, which now operates within the Igalo Sports Centre, will host 30 Judo players from Russia between the 10th and 21st of July. Their age varies and it is different in all age categories - and this is the first time such players will come to actively practice during summer in Herceg Novi. These players will use all the capacities and equipment of the complex and this arrangement once again proves the right formula in various offer of the whole complex of Igalo Sports Centre.

“The ownership of Hotel “Play” was given back to the Municipality and as soon as they let the Sports Centre Igalo do all the management, results were immediately visible. More than 100 children stayed with their parents within the basketball camp of the Academy Saša Grujić for over than month, and now we have a scheduled arrangement with the judo players who will use our gymnasium and stay in the hotel for 11 days. It is through such services that we can now be very competitive on the market as one complete complex because we offer a variety of arrangements to sports clubs and institutions,” said the director of the Sports Centre Igalo, Radovan Ralević.

He also added that the Sports Centre, with the hotel and the restaurant, will work during all seasons and that this decision has already improved the entire Herceg Novi tourist offer. He emphasized that the restaurant is open to all visitors, not only for hotel guests and guests of Sports Centre.

Ralević also recalled that the Sports Center, which includes a gymnasium with various facilities from the gym to the basketball court for volleyball, has managed to enrich its capacities with new terrain for beach volleyball, and additional arrangement of four tennis courts and thus contributed to greatly improving the overall variety of the very complex. Therefore, a complete package of preparations, starting from accommodation, through the training ground, gym and accompanying facilities, to top-class and affordable food in the restaurant, is now available to interested clubs and individuals.

Sports Centre Igalo recently hosted a Chinese delegation that was visiting Herceg Novi. They expressed great interest in the Centre itself and noted that in the future they will cooperate with the both Herceg Novi and the Sports Centre and that they are interested in investing in this sector of Montenegrin tourism.
