After 20 minutes they needed a miracle, but by half-time, there was no hope, and after 60 it was easy to make a conclusion - Montenegro handball players would not go to the World Championship.

June 11, 2018 - In the first match of the championship in Denmark and Germany, the "Lions" were equal to rival Croatia only in the first third of the match in Osijek, when they were equal 8:8. Everything after that was painful to watch, because the Croatia "Cowboys" ran with an aggressive defensive and suffocated the attack to finally reach a huge 13 goals advantage (32:19). The rematch in "Verde" on Thursday will be just a formality, and the big name in world handball will compete in the 31st World Championship and fight for the 14th medal.

Montenegro should now get ready for qualifications for the European Championships in 2020 in Sweden, Norway, and Austria and prepare the best team possible.
