To promote natural values, environmental protection, and tourism and sports activities following the principles of preservation of natural resources, the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Kayak Club "Morača", has organized a recreational eco regatta of kayaks. The regatta will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 12 pm from the city beach in Kotor to Prčanj.
Ivan Brajović, President of the Assembly of Montenegro, Nikola Medenica, Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, and Goran Furundžić, President of the Kajak Club "Moraca" will speak at the opening ceremony.
The cause for this event is to raise awareness to preserve Boka Bay. The regatta aims to symbolically present an initiative to establish closer cooperation between the local population, relevant national institutions, and international partners as a precondition for future joint activities to protect the natural environment and cultural and historical heritage of Boka Bay – explained Valentina Aranđelović from the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro.
