Montenegro is currently hosting 16 honorary consuls preforming various diplomatic tasks and representing a total of 18 nations

The honorary consul for Austria is Milan Mrvaljević, while lawyer Saša Vujačić is an honorary consul for three nations, representing kingdoms of Denmark and Sweden and the Republic of Estonia. Honorary Hungarian consul is Ksaba Magjar and the Belgian representative is Zan Dumortier.

Michel Barbon is the honorary consul of San Marino, and lawyer Novica Jovović of Bulgaria. Representing Slovenia in Montenegro is former Interior Minister Jusuf Kalamperović. Honorary consul of Guinea is Veljko Janković, of Ukraine Predrag Milović and of the Seychelles Aleksandra Gardašević-Slavujica.

Tasks of honorary consul for the small island state Santa Lucia are performed by John Kennedy. Mousu Tiziano is honorary consul of Malta, Ana Radulović of Norway, and Vladimir Radonjić of Switzerland. Honorary consul of the Phillipines is Dragan Nikolić, and of South Korea Predrag Pavličić.

On the list of consuls found on the Foreign Affairs Ministry is also the name of recently recalled Russian consul Boro Đukić.

Honorary consuls are named in order to work together with career diplomats to perform various diplomatic tasks and foster better connections with states they represent. They are usually well-off persons and mostly citizens of the state they reside in.
