The vice president of the Government, Zoran Pazin, expects that 2018 will be the year when Montenegro will open all remaining negotiation chapters.

Pazin met the ambassadors of the country's members in the EU and the chief of the European Union’s delegation in Podgorica, where he stated that Montenegro would vigorously steer the energy of the whole society into further reforms, and towards a successful termination of the negotiation process with the European Union.

“With the achieved results so far and a qualitative fulfillment of temporary criteria related to the area of government, Montenegro will earn the delivery of final measures for ultimate closure of the negotiation process in the crucial chapters 23 and 24," assures Pazin.

The chief of the EU Delegation in Montenegro, ambassador Aivo Orav, congratulated Montenegro on its significant contribution and good-neighboring approach which resulted in a positive solution related to the demarcation of the boundary line between Montenegro and Kosovo.

“This kind of approach made by Montenegro represents a module of politics for regional collaboration which the European Union wants to encourage throughout the new Strategy for the extension of the EU," he added.
