25 September 2018 - The art exhibition within which the paintings and photographs by Biljana Petković, who studied painting with professor Branko Subotić, was opened on September 25 and will remain open for visitors over next few days.
Jovan Despotović wrote about Petković's paintings and pointed out that they cover all natural phenomena that characterize Montenegro from the coast to the mountain karst, and everything that nature offers: "Sea clouds, rocks, light, structures, reflection, shadows, contours traces, crops, boulders, textures," noted Despotović, adding that these are all equal picture elements that the author builds and portrays in his works of art.
"That is why we do not call these photo-like creations the photographs of nature, but natural photographs. When we look at them, in the way represented by the eye of an artist, it becomes clearer to us, as a strong association, that Peter Lubarda saw and perceived these stony areas with all their peculiar effects, virtually transmitting them to their monumental canvases. Within this road, Biljana Petković travels as well," Despotović said.
The exhibition was opened by art historian Kristina Milatović at 8 PM in the "Sue Rider" gallery in Herceg Novi.
