11 September 2018 - Herceg Novi is announcing a theatre play aimed to make September more beautiful for schoolchildren and pre-schoolers. The representatives of Subotica Children's Theatre, have already had an opportunity to visit Herceg Novi in 2012 while promoting their campaign “Theatre is Good for the Children!”, and now they are back in Montenegro and ready to interest the children with their newest theatre play.
Considering that they are participating in the International Puppetry Festival, which begins on Wednesday in Podgorica, this wonderful ensemble decided to pay a visit to Herceg Novi for the third time. The play "The Pair of Shoes", based on the funny and sad story by Pierre Gripari, was directed by Todor Valov, and the performance has already been awarded at several international festivals. Here's what the director said about the show: "Some of you will think that you have already seen this content before, others will find the story sentimental, some of you may even find it comic, or insufficiently serious. However, it will surely not leave you indifferent and uninterested, and it seems to me that's the most important thing. What distinguishes a true person is the ability to hear and understand the problem of others around him.
There is something in this story for everybody. I think that this story is as true as life itself, and so wise to remind us that the meaning of our human life is determined by something which is most important, the best and the most beautiful in life: Love. That is exactly why I decided to turn it into a play. “The actors who take part in the play are Sanja Moravčić, Greguš Zalan, and Kalo Bela. This theatre play is recommended for children aged 4+. The performance starts on September 13 at 7 PM and the entrance is free.
This hosting was supported by the City Secretariat for Culture and Education, and the organizer is JUK Herceg Festival. Happy start of the school year!
