First International Carnival in Tivat Kicked Off this Weekend Dragan Redžo

June 10, 2018 - This year, Tivat became a member of the Federation of European Carnival Cities by organizing its first international summer carnival. The event aroused great interest among locals and tourists and brought several thousands of people to the town last night.

The festival kicked off on Saturday night by the procession of the Tivat City Orchestra and a group of majorettes passed the streets of Tivat down to Pine town quay.

Together, there were 22 groups participating in the carnival including those from Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Macedonia. In addition to their vivid performances, the city TO organized a music concert by popular local band TOC and the festival headliner Indira Forza. The carnival continues on Sunday followed by young generation who will wear their costumes and masks for kids carnival performance.
