Ulcinj: A Night Dedicated to the Famous Dish from Ulcinj

August 3, 2018 - For citizens of Ulcinj, bamija is not only a magnificent and delicious dish - it is a unique blend of indigenous cuisine, tradition and history, a sense of belonging and a bond that would bring the tourist product of the town to a new glow, concluded of all the participants at the night organized in the honor of this famous Ulcinj dish at Servantes Square below the palace of Venice in the Old Town in Ulcinj.

The hostess of the event, Mersiha Mavrić Resulbegović, inaugurated the event, and the President of the Municipality, Ljoro Nrekić, wished guests and locals to enjoy bamije and other traditional Ulcinj dishes.

"The cuisine has to be a significant segment of our tourism industry. Such events have to be as big as possible, and caterers and businesses have our full support for it," Nrekić said. In addition to the locals, the event was attended by tourists who did not hide the enthusiasm for bamija and other specialties. The well-known chef from Ulcinj Nijazi Resulbegovic spoke about how to make the dish. 

With pleasant music and distinctive notes by Oliver Dragojevic, the visitors enjoyed until late at night. The event was organized by Palata Venice and the local Tourism Organization.
