From March 1st, The Communal company of Tivat has purged and cleared about 45% of all planned paths and roads in the hinterland of Tivat. This activity is carried out as part of the implementation of preventive fire protection measures, it was announced today by the local government, reports Vijesti on March 19, 2018.

At a meeting of the Municipal Protection and Rescue Team held in December last year, the shrinking of paths and roads that are no longer used or are rarely in use that encircle settlements and represent access to the forest part of the territory was identified as one of the priorities.

The Communal company said that two larger trails were cleaned in Gošići, and it's getting close to finishing clearing the track in Mrčevac, i.e. Matijevići. They are also almost done cleaning the path of Sv. Agata-Peani, and the trail in the Brština region, Sv. Šimun and Mažine. A few days ago, the cleaning of the Upper Lastva - Plavda road began. The plan is to clean another 4-5 paths in Lepetani and Krtoli.

After the first phase of cleaning, the second phase of works is planned, that is, filling of roads so that when needed, vehicles and firefighting equipment could move in case of an emergency.
