TO Kotor at International Conference "Cultural Diversity - Common Heritage of Mankind"

October 23, 2018 - "Cultural Diversity - the Common Heritage of Mankind" is the name of an international conference held in Sarajevo on 18 October, attended by the representatives of the Tourist Organization of Kotor.

The conference “Cultural Diversity - the Common Heritage of Mankind" officially marked the start of the network "Strengthening Capacities for Changes in Tourism in the Western Balkans: Building Competencies for Quality Management of Heritage and Cultural Tourism - CulturWB".

The conference was attended by representatives of the Kotor Tourism Organization as members of the CulturWB network team.

In one place, the conference brought together all interested parties from the field of culture and tourism from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Greece to exchange ideas, positive experiences and develop a network of CulturWB co-operation.

The biggest benefit of the conference itself is the establishment of the Network for Cultural Tourism in the Western Balkans - CulturWB - a network of institutions and organizations that will promote the common heritage of Europe and the region. The conference in Sarajevo seeks to contribute to the entrepreneurship of cultural and creative sectors and to encourage the development of creative incubators to enable access to funding and the formation of a suitable business environment. The panels were attended by acknowledged experts and professors from the field of cultural tourism.

Among the others, the meeting was addressed by Khaldoun Sinno, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Biljana Čamur-Veselinović, the representative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Gian Andrea Garancini, the representative of the city administration of Heraklion, Greece, and Dino Mujkić, President of the “Sarajevo-Meeting of Cultures” Organization.

The organizers of the conference were the EU Info Center and Sarajevo- Meeting of Cultures Organization, with the support of the European Union, the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Erasmus + and the CulturWB consortium.
