19 October 2018 - The weekly edition of the London “Times” featured an article “Montenegro - A New Playground for the Rich”, by the author .

At the very beggining, the author compared Montenegro to its "rival" Monaco by saying that it is steadily shaping as the mentioned country.

She describes the Montenegrin coast and old towns in a very positive way and dedicates special attention to new luxury hotels: Porto Montenegro, Aman Sveti Stefan, and Luštica Bay.

"A decade ago, when Montenegro was gaining its independence from Serbia after years of conflict, it seemed highly unlikely that this war-torn Balkan nation could ever become known as “the next Monaco”, or “the future playground of the rich and famous”. However, this is the description now being applied to Montenegro, a tiny country on the Adriatic coast that used to attract the beautiful people in the 1960s, but fell out of favour as civil war gripped the region in the 1990s," as noted in the article by the author Claire Carponen.

"The construction of deluxe hotels, marinas and apartments is proof of the country’s determination to lure back the more affluent citizens of the world; the hundreds of megayachts moored earlier this month at Porto Montenegro, a marina village near the town of Tivat," concluded Carponen.
