14 October 2018 - The exhibition "Lament over the island of St. Nicholas" by the artist Slobodan Bob Slovinić opened on October 13 in the "Feral" tavern in Budva.
During the exhibition, from the 13th to 21st of October, an accompanying program will be organized, the central theme of which is St. Nicholas Island, also known as Školj. According to the organizers, the program reviews questions about Školj from an artistic, professional and social perspective.
The first evening of this event was organized as a discussion with the author, led by Jelena Papović, an academic painter from Budva. During the first night of the event, Itana Lalović, the representative of NGO Feral, addressed the audience and thanked all guests for their presence in the opening night of the manifestation, which she defined as a struggle for the preservation of Mediterranean values and the key symbols of Budva.
During the exhibition, an accompanying program will be organized for the next 8 days, until October 21st. On Thursday, October 18, at 5.30 pm, at the Palm Square, the discussion "Potential devastation of Školj" will be held. During this discussion, the architect Borislav Vukićević, Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Tourism Rade Ratković and Mathematics Ph.D. Vuk Iković will speak on the subject from the perspectives of their professions.
On the third night, on Sunday, October 21st, at 5.30 pm at the Palm Square, Dušica Vugdelić will host the citizens and fishermen from Budva and Paštrovići in the program named "Talk about Školj".
The organizer of the exhibition and its accompanying program is the NGO Feral, which deals with the preservation of Budva's cultural heritage, and the project was supported by the Municipality of Budva and the Tourist Organization of Budva.
