Kotor, besides the fact that the main tourist season is more or less done for this year, still attracts a large number of guests. In addition to the beauty of the Old Town and the many cultural sights it hides, the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” and Kotor Tourist Organization have ensured that during September visitors are attracted by a rich cultural program. This Sunday evening will feature the dance group Somos Cubanos, as well as the theater show "Ćao prijatno" (Bye, and have a nice time) produced by the same-named theater from Skopje, Macedonia.
The performance of Somos Cubanos is organized within the "Open Kotor Squares" program, and a dance group that nurses Latin American dances will perform on the Arms Square from 9pm to 10pm. Somos Cubanos was founded in April 2016 in Kotor to expand its activities in Tivat in February 2017. This is a dance school that is linked to the most famous dance of all time, salsa. In addition to the most popular salsa, there are dances such as Afro-Cuban dance, reggaeton, bachata and kizomba. The instructors of this dance school gathered their knowledge from the most famous Cuban instructors, both in Cuba and in Europe. The group already has significant performances in the region, such as participation at the festivals "Havana and Belgrade", "Cubanero", "Cubamonte". "Salsa Motion Weekend", "Sarajevo Salsa Congress", "Hola Ohrid Dance Experience".
The theatre show “Ćao prijatno” will be played at the Cinema Square in Kotor tonight at 22:00, announces the organizers, Cultural Center Nikola Đurković, mentioning the entrance to the show is free of charge.
The play is performed by Atanas Atanasovski and Valentin Kostadinovski and directed by Siniša Evtimov.
"This show is part of the FIAT 2018 competition selection. It was played in May at the Zeta House in Cetinje and has so far come to the attention of the Macedonian and regional audience, while in Skoplje it is the hit performance. Some Macedonian directors are doing costly, mega performances that later only have one performance. The show criticizes the banality of television and morning programs that deal with inappropriate topics for that term, but there is also this universal dimension that everyone understands, wherever the show is to play. This is a modern comedy, the whole play is a commentary on the theater.
