19 July 2018 - Hispa, the Association for Hypertension, Infarction and the Stroke Prevention organized the lecture “New Age of Heart Arrhythmia” and practical presentation of the portable 3-channel ECG in Igalo. For the same occasion, at the Institute “Dr Simo Milošević” in Igalo a Hispa centre was opened, as part of the Hispa Montenegro association and the Hispa International Association. This is the second centre of such in Montenegro, since one is already located in Podgorica in the Residence of Health “Kerber”.

Hispa centres were opened in more than 60 cities in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Ukraine, where teams are working in the highest quality and modern way to treat their patients. They plan to open a large number of Hispa centres in the upcoming period in the Balkan region and Europe.

The basic idea of these centers is a highly specialized health service for the preservation of health. In this center, those who have unregulated or inadequately regulated blood pressure or hypertension, especially those people who cannot easily solve their high blood pressure problem with their physicians, but a special focus on people with elevated cardiovascular risk, are treated. It can also be relatively "healthy" people who have no particular symptoms but have problems such as obesity, stress, high blood pressure, inadequate nutrition, but also healthy people who want to preserve their health.

The staff team of one Hispa centre is composed of cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, physiatrists, neurologists and doctors of other specialties. They make the team that has the task of solving the most difficult cases. The idea of Hispa Centers is that people can get the best healthcare, protect, on and health services in their place of residence.

In addition to modern diagnostics and continuous medical supervision, the patients will receive personalized nonpharmacological and pharmacological therapy, which will be tailored to their personal needs. These patients will be specifically monitored through a unique patient database for the whole of Serbia.

A special programme is the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a stroke, had a percutaneous intervention or operated patients according to the Hispa programme which involves personalized reduction of risk factors and the creation of Hispa programme of "preserving" health.
