July 18, 2018 - The Summer Military Camp for Youth is open today in the quarters "Milovan Saranovic" in Danilovgrad and will last until July 28th. There will be 45 high school students from Montenegro and five from Macedonia in the camp.

The Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro have organized this camp for the third time in the VCG units in Kolašin and Pljevlja.

In the opening ceremony of the Summer Military Camp, State Secretary of Defense Slobodan Filipovic pointed out that military uniform represents honor, pride, and commitment to all of those who are wearing it.

"Through it, love for the state is shown. In addition to the pride your parents feel as they look at you standing in the division, Montenegro is also proud of you," said Filipovic.

The Summer Military Camp allows high school students to gain a unique experience in VCG units. It is intended that through military training, young people will gain the opportunity to become familiar with certain segments of life and work in the Army, as well as to develop team spirit, discipline, and leadership skills. Camp participants will be trained by the training instructors from the Army of Montenegro, and the program envisages the realization of sanitary training, topography, and competition in orientation, camping, nutrition and survival in nature, fast-paced training, alpinist training and other activities. The five best campers will have the opportunity to visit the Cadet Training Center in the UK.
