KSI Summer Daily Camp, opened for participants aged 6 to 16, will last for four weeks, from July 9 to August 3. KSI Montenegro is also running its adventure summer camp two-week programme for international learners aged 12-17, starting July 16.

June 10, 2018 - Are you coming to Boka bay for a holiday with your children? One is six years old and very curious, wanting to keep up with something new all the time. The other child is a daunting teenager, who does not want to stay with their parents all day. What is offered to parents who want a dynamic vacation for their children? One of the options is the KSI Summer Camp, which Knightsbridge School International Montenegro will organize this summer for the eighth edition.

Knightsbridge School International Montenegro is the first international school in our country, founded in 2010. The school is certified from the international family of KSI educational institutions, working in the IB program, and is recognized worldwide. The school currently enrolls 90 students of 18 nationalities, aged 3 to 18. The school year is about to end, but a summer break will almost certainly not be, explains marketing and PR coordinator of KSI Monetengro, Zorica Đurović.

"During the summer, most during July, we have a lot of tourists who come and turn to the demand for a summer camp, or a summer program for their kids. Therefore, every summer, since the school was founded, we organize summer camps." This year's Summer Daily Camp will last four weeks, from July 9 to August 3, offering an extraordinary experience, providing kids aged 6 to 16 with opportunities to be all they can be while discovering and developing their talents in sports, adventure, arts, and creativity.

“Every week of our daily camp, which runs from 8 am to 4 pm, is theme-oriented. There are various topics we deal with, such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and other topics. And then activities during that week are somehow related to the main theme. The camp is designed for children aged 6 to 16. Depending on the age and the physical condition and abilities, they are divided into groups for which we organize different outdoor activities or in the school area. Outdoor activities are mostly sports oriented, including sailing classes, kayaking, paddling, swimming, individual as well as group water sports. We organize social games, team bonding, and different events in the water. The accent is on the party, the game, and the games are always related to the theme that is discussed throughout the whole week," says Zorica, pointing out that candidates usually initially apply for a camp during a single week, but often decide to participate in one or more topics.

When it comes to indoor activities, the organizers are very creative. "We teach kids how to create a comic, we have a drama section, some of the groups can make an art installation during a themed week or record a short video on the subject. The whole program is very diverse and addressed to children, so the choice of activities depends primarily on the interests of the children who are in the camp, what they want and what they can achieve."

"All activities are carried out in English. Tutors are from Montenegro and from the English speaking area, and children come from different countries. That is why our camp is an intensive English language school where children play, have fun, archive less serious or serious projects, learn English in a fun and receptive way, and communicate with peers from around the world. We have realized that the best approach is for children to start using English through gambling and entertainment, without any pressure or expectations, and not be afraid to make a mistake. In a relaxed atmosphere, they are focused on understanding each other, and then they are learning the best," explains Zorica.

Besides the Summer Daily Camp, KSI Montenegro will run an adventure summer camp programme for international learners aged 12-17 from July 16 to July 29.  “While studying English in our camp, students will explore Montenegro’s very rich culture and enjoy its natural beauty. A range of indoor and outdoor activities will provide learners with the opportunity to expand their creativity and challenge their personal boundaries. The two-week adventure programme includes forty hours of intensive English language instruction, eighty hours of structured indoor and outdoor activities, six excursions, round-the-clock supervision by experienced KSI staff, full accommodation including food and laundry service and all materials needed," explains Zorica Đurović.

Knightsbridge School International Montenegro offers numerous extracurricular activities during the school year, which are open to children who are not students of the school. In addition to numerous sports activities, children can learn the basics of journalism, potting, chess, culinary, and more.

The school also allocates a number of full scholarships to students aged 15 to 18 years. So far, this program was only open to students from Montenegro, and since this year, a number of scholarships were also offered at an international competition.
