May 25, 2018 - The town's riva Pine in Tivat will host the first handicraft and souvenir fair organized by NGO Harlekin from Donje Lastva during the summer. More than 20 exhibitors from all parts of Montenegro have been announced, and the fair is open from 10 am to 6 pm today. The fair is just part of the program which is organized by the Tourist Organization of Tivat and its partners.
"NGO Harlekin will organize a handicraft fair in Pine every month during the summer tourist season. Today's fair is just part of the story of what Tivat is preparing for its citizens and guests," explains Melita Ramnjak Ciko of NGO Harlekin.
"Among the exhibitors who will join us today are very young creators who are new to our company and will also be exhibited at the next fairs. You can see works in metal, wood, various other materials that are interesting as a gift, as well as a souvenir that you can bring with you to remind you of Tivat and Montenegro and delight your home."
The guests are always interested in the authentic products and souvenirs of Boka and Montenegro, and in this segment, a rich offer will be presented. She is an amateur artist as well, whose most famous souvenirs are dolls dressed in men's and women's Bokelian folk costumes, cherished from being forgotten by the Bokelian Navy Kotor, as well as creators like Melita.
"Exhibitors come from all over Montenegro. Beside amateur artists from Tivat, handicrafts will be presented by exhibitors from Kotor, Cetinje, Niksic, Podgorica, and Ulcinj."
For the third consecutive year, NGO Harlekin organizes handmade fairs, which are also visited during the winter months. In co-operation with the Tourist Organization, they have incorporated their story into the story of the Tivat cultural and entertainment summer, which the Tourist Organization will begin today.
The fair is open until 6 pm, and at 8.30 pm, Pine will become a stage in the open where visitors can enjoy the performance of KIC POP HOR from Podgorica to officially open the summer tourist season in Tivat.
