May 11, 2018 - Arizona State University hosted an economic forum with the topic “Economy, Business and Life in Montenegro” on the 10th of May, at 6.30 PM local time. This event was part of the Global Talks series, and it was held under “Arizona Talks” organization. The event was brought to light by The Lucha Institute, which is the Montenegrin research center. Among many different topics, some of the discussed were business, law, politics, lifestyle in Montenegro and so on. The panel discussion was focused on similarities between both communities, Arizona and Montenegro, their governments and business with examples of how legislation has an impact on the economy.

The moderator of this panel discussion was Mr. Austin Jack while the speakers that were featured were Ambassador of Montenegro to the United States of America, Nebojsa Kaludjerovic and international economist, Barry Asmus from the ASMUS Institute. Also, Dajana Zlaticanin, American businesswoman born in Montenegro, took part in this panel.

Global Talks is a series of international events organized by The Lucha Institute with the aim to connect business people, policymakers, politicians, and academics from different countries and introduce them to all of the opportunities that can be found in Montenegro.

This project will gather prominent experts from all around the globe and Montenegro in Europe. One of the goals of the project is to create a stronger relationship between states, but it is also an ideal place for introducing all opportunities for young people and future policymakers, people in business, academics, politicians and so on. We also hope that this Global Talks edition will become a traditional event that will produce new ideas and opinions that will change many societies for the better.

The Lucha Institute of Montenegro hopes Arizona will be the home of the new pro-liberty thinkers whose ideas will shape societies in the future. Two similar countries, still distanced over ten thousand kilometers, could be an example of how free market and distance does not recognize barriers and the cooperation between people from these states could be beneficial not only for them but people from the region as well. They also noted that this Global Talks edition would become a traditional event that will produce new ideas and opinions with the goal to change many societies for better.

As mentioned in the plans of The Lucha Institute, the goal is for the next series of Global Talks to be organized and held all over the world, with locations such as China, Italy, Argentina, and Washington included.
