Some things change and some things stay the same.
Budva today is one of Montenegro's most popular spots, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. There have been a number of hotels and apartment blocks constructed to meet that need, and the area surrounding the old town of Budva is unrecognisable from even 15 years ago.
By contrast, relatively little has changed in the old town itself, which remains as charming as ever. A little trip down memory lane this Thursday morning, going back in time almost 30 years to 1989, and a wonderful snapshot of summer life in and around Budva old town.
