20 October 2018 - Regent Porto Montenegro is the winner of this year's "Villegiature" award for the "Best swimming pool in a hotel in Europe".
Porto Montenegro is a luxury marina for yachts and a vibrant nautical village located in Tivat. It represents one of the most luxurious marinas on the Adriatic. The complex contains a marina (450 berths for yachts from 12 to 180 meters long), residences, business premises, 5-star Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel, a collection of maritime heritage with valuable museum exhibits, located in a reconstructed building of the former Austro-Hungarian sawmill, a club as well as the International School "Knightsbridge School International Montenegro".
During the Villegiature awarding process, a jury made up of 23 journalists from prestigious international newspapers and TV stations, had to make an extremely challenging choice out of numerous luxury hotels (Regent Porto Montenegro – Montenegro; Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, Paris – France; La Bastide de Gordes, Airelles Collection, – France; Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul At the Bosphorus – Turkey; Terme di Saturnia Spa and Golf Resort, Saturnia, Tuscany – Italy). After making their decision, the jury rewarded the Regent Pool Infinity Pool, located on the Regent Pool Club podium between Baia and Aqua wings.

Hotels compete in various categories including Best Hotel, Best Resort, Best Group, Best Service and many others. The main concept of the Villegiature Awards is to reward through prominent journalists contributing to leading media all over the world the very best hotels in EMEA zone + Asia.
