25 August 2018 - After another successful tourist season and a series of manifestations that introduced this summer in the most beautiful way, the Tourist Organisation of Budva continues with the organization of events in August and September, with the main goal to create a more pleasant ambience for all tourists staying in the Budva Riviera.

From August 20th to August 24th, at the Petrovac promenade, the Tourist Organisation of Budva organized "Children's Days" in the evening hours. The youngest tourists and locals of the Budva Riviera enjoyed theatre performances, children's songs, animations, free face painting as well as local sweet specialties. During the five evenings, the children's theatres from Nikšić, Belgrade and Budva, as well as the Singing School "D-moll" from Podgorica, had numerous performances on the plateau in front of the Red Commune. "Children's Days" represented a nice overture for the most famous night in the Budva Riviera.

On Saturday, August 25th, free tasting of fish, wine and beer started in the afternoon hours at the Petrovac promenade, with the support of Sports Fishing Club "Širun" from Budva. Sports games with valuable prizes were organised from 4 PM at the Petrovac docks, and locals and visitors could enjoy the Mediterranean sounds in the performance of the ensemble "Castell Nuovo".

The sounds of City Music Budva resonated through Petrovac at 9 PM, when the unforgettable "Petrovac Night" officially began. After City Music Budva, regional music star Marija Šerifović entertained the audience from 10 PM, and the fireworks painted the sky above Petrovac at midnight.

The female vocal group "Harmonija" will once again delight all fans of traditional coastal melodies on Wednesday, August 29, at the Poet Square in the Old Town of Budva. The next day, on August 30, Buljarica will be ready to welcome thousands of visitors who are eagerly waiting for the Sea Dance Festival, which will last for three days and will gather renowned world names.

The Jazz Festival organized by Petrovac Jazz Fest will be held from 26 August to 11 September, and with the support of the Tourist Organization of Budva, all fans of sophisticated melodies will be able to enjoy the performances of Zdenka Kovačiček & Greenhouse Blues Band and Trio Balkan strings on September 10th and 11th in the plateau between the churches in the Old Town Budva.

A day later, on September 12, a concert of classical music titled "Concert for the Peace" will be performed by the Italian orchestra "Magna Grecia" on the same plateau.

"We are all eagerly awaiting the event "Oktoberfest Montenegro", which will be held this year for the first time with the organisation of the Color Press Group and our Tourist organisation on the Montenegrin coast," said Mladen Franović, Deputy Executive Director of the Tourist Organization Budva.

Following the example of the Munich "Oktoberfest", which has gathered beer lovers for over two centuries, the Montenegrin event will offer good music, high-quality beer and delicious Bavarian sausages on September 21st and 22nd.

"September will bring us more surprises when it comes to events, and the beginning of October is traditionally reserved for the "Day of the Maasbanker (Day of Cape horse mackeral)", a famous sport and entertainment event. Through a series of manifestations in the pre-season, with prolonged duration and many innovations, we tried to attract visitors in the period before the summer, and now our goal is to prove that the summer in Budva lasts after the calendar passes to numerous tourists who choose our city as their favourite tourist destination," Franović stressed.
