June 25, 2018 - The hotel group Falkensteiner, a famous tourist company, is present in six European countries and currently owns 32 hotels of which all are four or five-star ones. It counts more than 1.200 employees and has been managing and operating the Queen of Montenegro hotel in Becici since the 23rd of June 2018. The hotel, with a total of 236 rooms, will be opened by mid-October under the name “Queen of Montenegro”, while during the summer season it will have a so-called “white label” status. For the winter season, extensive plans for redesigning and a new positioning concept have already been prepared. As with the start of the summer season in 2019, the Queen of Montenegro will be re-branded and officially opened under the name “Falkensteiner”.

Prior to the opening, the indirect owner of the hotel, Balansz Zártkörű Nyíltvégű Intézményi Ingatlan Alap, carried out the first phase of the renovation programme. After the first season in 2018, the renovation programme will continue in cooperation with the hotel group Falkensteiner, and the hotel will be redesigned and adapted to the usual high standards of Falkensteiner’s hotels. As of the end of 2018, new information and details about Falkensteiner’s plans and progress will be published and, finally, in the spring of 2019, the hotel will be re-opened under the brand of Falkensteiner.

“For us, who are at the same time a hotel group and a construction and development company, the arrival of Falkensteiner in Montenegro is an important step and an exciting challenge. Here we see a great potential for the development and opening up a completely new market – the market of the future,” said Otmar Michaeler, chief executive of the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group.
