An enormous interest by fans for the duel of Budućnost Voli and Crvena Zvezda in the ABA League finals is straining the Podgorica club, which has asked Crvena Zvezda fans not to bring jerseys or other fan items for their own safety

In a statement the club released, they expect ten thousand ticket requests for the two upcoming finals matches, while the availability of tickets is still in question.

“The KK Budućnost Voli-Crvena Zvezda games have generated unprecedented interest beyond all our previous experience. The club has so far received over 8,000 requests for tickets, with the number expected to reach 10,000, for both games,” the Budućnost club has said.

As they cite, considering the 300 annual tickets bought at the beginning of the season, as well as 1,200 tickets of club sponsors, it is clear there is no way to meet the complete demand. “KK Budućnost Voli will strive to inform the public whether sales will take place, which will be hard to organize. Based on the current demand it is evident the number of people would be enough to fill the city stadium in Podgorica! We use this opportunity to ask Crvena Zvezda fans not to bring jerseys or other fan items for their own safety. The club is grateful to its loyal fans, while we regret realistic options do not allow for everyone to support the team from the stands of the Morača arena,” the statement read.
