The time has come for the football team of Montenegro – the “brave falcons” - to play against Cyprus on March 23, while on March 27 under Gorica hill, they will welcome Turkey. Preparations for these two friendly matches begin today at the Old Airport.

This will be the first gathering and premiere matches of the team in 2018. Coach Ljubiša Tumbaković will welcome the national team during the day at the hotel, and the first encounter on the pitch is scheduled at 17:00 at the Training Camp of FSCG, reports CdM on March 19, 2018.

Training is open to the public, but on the first training day, all 27 invited players will not appear. However, by Wednesday, all invited players will wear the equipment with their favorite coat of arms. The biggest questions are posed for the debutant from Čukarički, Boris Kopitović, right fullback of Red Star Filip Stojković, Atlético Madrid superstar Stefan Savić, Pakhtakor defender Marko Simić and Marko Janković.

Kopitović, Stojković, Simić and Janković have minor injuries, while Savić has just recovered from injury. Four defenders and an attacker will report to the 65-year-old coach, and the medical team will decide the degree of injury and whether the players mentioned above will be ready for the matches. The coaching and medical staff will prepare the team for September and the League C within the new Nations League (the “Reds” are in a group with Romania, Serbia and Lithuania).

To remind you, coach Tumbaković called 27 national team players for the games against Cyprus and Turkey - GOALKEEPERS: Mladen Božović, Milan Mijatović, Danijel Petković; DEFENSE: Stefan Savić, Filip Stojković, Adam Marušić, Žarko Tomašević, Marko Simić, Emrah Klimenta, Nemanja Mijušković, Boris Kopitović; MIDFIELD: Marko Janković, Nikola Vukčević, Elsad Zverotić, Aleksandar Šćekić, Marko Vešović, Nebojša Kosović, Mirko Ivanić, Damir Kojašević, Vladimir Jovović, Sead Hakšabanović, Aleksandar Boljević, Marko Bakić (Belenenseš, Portugal); ATTACK: Stevan Jovetić, Fatos Bećiraj, Stefan Mugoša, Luka Djordjević.

The national team played their last match on October 8, 2017, when they lost 4:2 in Warsaw against Poland. After almost half a year, it's time for a new red heat.
