The coach of Budućnost Dragan Adžić was pleased after his team's victory over Tiringer 25:24, which resulted in placement in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
"It's a great victory against a serious opponent and a great ambience; this season has shown how the collective grows and how individual players are progressing to become the future of the club and the Montenegrin national team. This victory was natural because of the excellent relationship and energy showed by players throughout the season. We showed maturity, and we played at a high level against the experienced opponent, to whom this match was also decisive for qualifying in the quarter-finals. I am proud of the girls, and we are happy to be among the top eight," Adžić said.
The next opponent of Budućnost in the quarter-finals is most likely to be Đer.
"The match against Đer will be a gift for this young team and an opportunity to test ourselves against the current champions of Europe. The duel with Đer will be a holiday of handball and represent the fulfilment of the dream, which we believed, even though we knew it would be difficult, because of the youth of the team, problems that we faced during the season due to injuries, and the absence of some players. But the players, the staff and the management have shown that everything is possible, and now we should all look forward to this success, "Adžić said.
He stated that “a club like Budućnost always has ambitions above the expectations."
"If that was not the case, and that the relationship between the players, staff and administration is not at the highest level and that we all do not believe in what we do, there would be no such results. Our goal was to play as many matches this season as this is pricelessly important for this young team, for girls who are the future of this club and our national team," Adžić concluded.
