February 9, 2019 - The traditional regatta of the Mimosa Cup gathered today the young competitors of all active Montenegrin sailing clubs for the 45th time. The race in the waters of the Herceg Novi Bay is a traditional sports event within the program of the Mimosa Festival.

Although the wind was not the most favorable, the competition that marks the start of the sailing season in Montenegro completed successfully, confirming the experience of the hosts from the Yacht Club Jugole Grakalic.

"This regatta is a serious tradition, and we are very proud of being part of the Mimosa Festival. This is a jubilee for us, 45 years and we hope it will take a long time," said the director of YC Jugole Grakalic Predrag Peco Vukcevic.

The regatta gathered thirty participants from the clubs of Boka Bay- Delfin from Tivat,  Lahor from Kotor and the host club Jugole Grakalic. These are the clubs that preserve the tradition of this sport and compete in the Montenegrin league, explains Vukcevic.

"The tradition of this sport and this skill has built the Boka Bay. Its history rests on this skill. We want to preserve this sport and transfer it to future generations, to know how to sail and how to build Boka," said Vukcevic, speaking of the Mimosa Cup racing tradition.
