The Futsal national team of Montenegro won the placement in the elite round of qualifying for the World Cup after their victory over Estonia (4:0).
The team of Sveto Ljesar won the second place in Group G, which allowed them to pass to the next stage of qualification.
"A great tournament is behind us. We went to the next round of qualifying, which is a great success. The match with Estonia has shown that my players have a strong character, despite the imperative of winning tonight they were concentrated throughout the match, and played very well the whole time. The next stage of qualifications is in Azerbaijan in October. Meanwhile, we need to schedule as many friendly matches as possible and make an even bigger player base," selector Ljesar said.
In the duel with Estonia, the winner of the match was not in question at any moment. Montenegro dominated the whole time, and Ilija Mugoša, Aleksandar Obradović, Zoran Barović and Eldin Ćorović shook their opponent's net.
Montenegro previously played a draw with Bulgaria 1:1 and lost to Holland 4:2.
