11 More Medals for Montenegrin National Team at Open Balkans Athletics Championship

September 24, 2018 - After the first seven medals on the first day, the Montenegrin national team won another 11 medals on the second day of the Open Balkans Athletics Championship in Athens - four gold, four bronze, and three silver medals.

Gold medals were won by the seniors Stefan Vukotić and Lidija Caković (Duo classic system), juniors Filip Pešić and Marija Kaljević (Duo classic mix system) and pioneers Nikola Vulević (up to 46) and Kristina Radosavović (up to 40).

The silver was won by the pioneer Danilo Veselinovic (up to 24), junior-senior Djordje Bogdanovic (over 94) and senior Bojan Merdovic (up to 77).

Bronze medals were won by the pioneer Ivan Vukčević (up to 34), junior Mihailo Tešović (up to 81), senior Ivan Šofran (up to 69) and seniors Vuk Dragutinović and Aleksandra Popović (Duo classic mix).

On Friday, Montenegrin competitors won two gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

The championship, which ended on Sunday, gathered 1,150 contestants from 34 countries.
