September 3, 2018 - With 500 square meters of the new sports centre polygon, beside table tennis, SC Spin is officially open for martial arts (karate, judo) as well as for Paralympic Sports.

The Centre was opened by the President of Table Tennis Club Spin, Nenad Raičević, President of the Table Tennis Association, Ratko Dedić, professor of physical education at the Elementary School Oktoih, Velimir Vlahović and Duško Klikovac from the Kodokan judo club.

Raičević pointed out that the long-term wishes of everyone in the club and the true fans of table tennis have finally come true. "Our goal is to offer sport to the youth as an alternative to all those contents that can lead them astray. Sport creates healthy people and healthy society," said Raičević.

He emphasized that the permanent setting of the table tennis centre includes six tables, with the possibility to increase that number to nine, during tournaments and major competitions.

Dedić said that the sports centre will be a place for recreationists, but also for the best Montenegrin table tennis players to practice.

"I have great respect for Raičević for opening the centre, respect for everything he did as the general secretary and as the organizer of numerous tournaments," said Dedić.

It was announced that the new centre boasts a great range of features, such as modern shower cabins, dressing rooms, toilets and other supporting areas, as well as free wireless internet access. As explained in the report, one segment of the sports centre is assigned to the construction of special rooms, which will serve for the needs of visiting competitors, judges and representatives of table tennis associations from abroad.

"We are especially proud of the fact that all the features, from the access platforms to the toiletries are adapted for people with disabilities. The centre will be at the service for all recreational players, and professional and amateur tournaments will be organized. Also, we will soon open a table tennis school for the youngest visitors. With the 500 square meters of the new sports centre polygon adapted for people with disabilities, we expect members of the Paralympics Committee of Montenegro to use the premises for training and tournaments, "Raičević said.

He stressed that Spin Sports Centre will be the home of table tennis club Spin Institut Konfucije, judo club Kodokan, Aikido Club and Youth School of Sport.

Spin Sports Centre is located near the Bazar Shopping Centre in Podgorica on July 18 Street.
