Nikola Vucevic will most likely not extend his contract with Orlando in the NBA when his current one expires in the summer of 2019.

According to the American ESPN, the Florida club is close to deciding whether they will pick the talented Mohamed Bamba this summer, the center from the Texas Longhorns. Bamba is designed as the fifth choice and is forecasting a significant breakthrough in his career.

Vucevic will earn $12.75 million in the following season, while his partner Bizmak Bijabo will play for $17 million in the next two seasons. According to the analyst from ESPN Michael Smitz, Orlando plans to adjust the game to the current trend without the classic centers, therefore is ready to give up on Vučević in the next cycle, and on Bijoba in two summers. His role on the court would be taken over by the brilliant athlete Eron Gordon and last year's beginner Johnathan Aiesec, while the athlete Bamba will bring extra strength.

Vucevic indeed plans to be a part of a strong team in the playoffs until the end of his NBA career, and in his career, he has not yet managed to make it to the playoffs. Many teams are interested in him, especially from the Eastern Conference.
