Montenegro and Azerbaijan Will Consider Possibilities of Increasing Mobility of Students

July 22, 2018 - Montenegro and Azerbaijan will consider the possibility of increasing student's mobility, which will be an additional boost to the excellent cooperation between the two states, it was concluded at the meeting of the Ministry of Education

The Minister Damir Šehović met with the representatives of the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan and Director of the Cultural and Economic Center of that country in Montenegro, Anar Adzamov, and Sejran Mirzazad. As stated by the Ministry, Šehović stressed that education is one of the most important areas in the union between the people and cultures, and in that sense, the cooperation can be further strengthened by the increase in the number of Montenegrin students educated at universities in Azerbaijan.

"But also to open opportunities for the students from that country to study at the Montenegrin faculties," he added in the statement. Šehović pointed out that the scholarships for the Montenegrin students provided by the Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan from 2013 represent an excellent student mobility model. Adjamov stressed that the relationship between Montenegro and Azerbaijan is more than friendly and that strong economic cooperation needs to be deepened by cooperation in the field of education and culture. He invited Šehović to the International Humanitarian Forum that will be held in October in Baku. Mirzazad stressed that the opening of the Azerbaijan Cultural and Economic Center in Montenegro stands as proof of the close cooperation between the two states.

"The speakers highlighted openness to initiatives and joint educational activities that will further enhance the Cooperation Agreement between the two countries from 2014," it was said in the statement.
