June 26, 2018 - Improving cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere, is the common interest of Montenegro and Morocco, it was assessed at the meeting between the Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic and the President of the Moroccan Parliament House of Representatives, Habiba el Malki.

"Friendly countries maintain good and contented bilateral relations and have a common interest in further cooperation, especially on the economic plan," said the Public Relations Government's statement.

The meeting, among other things, showed Montenegro's interest in Moroccan experiences in using solar energy. Markovic said Montenegro had achieved excellent economic and financial results in the past and first half of this year.

"Security and internal stability are the most important preconditions for the excellent results achieved by the government," Markovic said. He added that the economic prosperity of Montenegro depends on the stability and security of the country. "Montenegro is a small country whose stability and security is very important because its economic prosperity and raising the standards and quality of life for the citizens depend on it," Markovic said.

El Malki believes that Montenegrin membership in NATO has contributed to the stability of the Western Balkans.

"The fact that Montenegro earned their right to be part of the North Atlantic Alliance is an indicator for the international reputation of Montenegro," said Malki.
