August 19, 2020 - The laboratories of the Institute of Public Health have completed PCR analysis of 570 samples for the new coronavirus, among which 42 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected. The total number of active COVID-19 cases in Montenegro is currently 967.

No deaths have been reported to the Institute since the last cross-section. Since the beginning of June, the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 71. Since the beginning of the first wave of the epidemic, 80.
The recovery of 92 patients was reported.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of registered cases of infection with the new coronavirus is 4174.
Eight COVID-19 patients with a severe clinical picture
The Clinical Center of Montenegro is currently treating 17 patients with confirmed presence of the COVID-19 virus, three of whom are in a life-threatening condition.
As reported from KCCG, two patients have been intubated and connected to invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Thirty-seven patients with Covid-19 are currently being treated at the Berane General Hospital. Five patients have a severe clinical picture, and three patients are on high doses of oxygen.
Air traffic with Belgrade has been re-established
The first Air Serbia plane from Belgrade with around twenty passengers on board landed at Podgorica airport this morning.
The Director of Airports of Montenegro, Danilo Orlandić, when speaking on Colors of the Morning on Vijesti Television, said that this week there will be eight flights from Podgorica and Tivat to Belgrade and that this number will be significantly higher next week.
He also mentioned that a new route Tivat - Niš will be opened on August 21.
