June 15, 2020 - Today, the laboratories of the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro completed the analysis of 34 samples for the new coronavirus, among which is a newly discovered case of COVID-19 from Budva. The patient was in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a few days before the onset of symptoms of the infection (dry cough, fever), the IPH announced.
 
"Epidemiological investigation of the case and identification of contacts is in progress. The number of detected cases of coronavirus since the beginning of events in Montenegro is 326," the IPH said in a statement. 
 
The IPH reported yesterday one new COVID-19 patient also yesterday, also imported from BiH in the previous days. For preventive reasons and at his insistence, this patient was in self-isolation in its apartment in Podgorica. Epidemiological research is ongoing and initial data indicate that the number of contacts is minimal, reported IPH.
 
Montenegro declared the end of epidemic on June 2, after 28 days without new COVID-19 cases recorded.
