14 December 2018 - Montenegrin director Aleksandar Vujović’s short film "The Last Gift" will be screened at the closing of BaNeFF Film Festival in Stockholm. The screening of the film will be held at the ZITA cinema on Friday, December 21, after which the film author Aleksandar Vujović will hold a Q&A session with the Swedish audience.

"The Last Gift" was filmed in New York. Director Vujović is the scriptwriter, director, producer, and editor of the film, while the director of photography is Carlos Tamajón Correa. Nada Vasilijević is the lead actor in the film, soundtracks within the film are chosen by Jovo Kljajić, and the assistant director and set designer is Nurmagambetov Jangir.

Every year, Balkan New Film Festival (BaNeFF) hosts the directors from different countries, like Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Greece, Ukraine and Poland. The guests of BaNeFF Festival doc.short 2018 are the following directors: Olha Lazebnik - Ukraine (the film about the bombing of Serbia and Montenegro 1999), Aleksandar Vujović - Montenegro (a film about traumas of motherhood), Aleksandar Reljić – Serbia (a film about the Auschwitz camp) and Milos Skundrić – Serbia (about the World War I). The festival is supported by the Swedish Film Institute, Swedish Institute, Zita Cinema, ABF Stockholm and Folkets Bio.

Aleksandar Vujović is a Montenegrin director, multimedia artist and producer. He graduated and got his Masters’ degree at The Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera ("Academy of Fine Arts of Brera") in Milan, Italy. He continued his work in Milan and implemented numerous projects for multinational companies such as Mediaset Play (Rete 4) and Diesel.

After getting his degree, Vujović completed professional training in New York. During that period, the short film "The Last Gift" was created in cooperation with the New York Film Academy.

He received an international award at the SEE Film Festival in Paris for the short film "As Trains Go By," produced by Andromeda Pictures. Aleksandar is a member of the organization for the protection of the rights of film producers in Montenegro, as well as a member of the supervisory board of the same organization. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Donja Gorica.
