10 September 2018 - Croatian diva Zdenka Kovačiček and the ensemble Trio Balkan strings from Serbia are scheduled to mark the closing of the Twelfth Jazz Festival in Budva, organized by Petrovac Jazz Fest and the Tourist Organization of Budva.
The first lady of the Croatian jazz scene and the famous rock singer, Zdenka Kovačiček, performed on the Budva Riviera on September 10th with one of the most recently invited and most interesting club compositions in Croatia - the Greenhouse Blues Band.
Zdenka Kovačiček is one of the most prominent musicians on the Croatian music scene. This multitalented woman has an impressive six decades of successful musical career, further spiced up by the passion for acting. "I'm happy to be here after so many years. I started singing as a little girl. I like to sing jazz and blues, and tonight we will perform jazz and blues standards, but also popular songs, "Kovačiček announced at the beginning of the concert for local Montenegrin news reporters, Portal Analitika. Her amazing voice managed to impress the audience, while she sang her biggest hits such as: “Mali crni brat”, “Volim te ko konja”, “Frka” and “Žena za sva vremena”.
On September 11, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance by the Trio Balkan Strings, a band that is recognized in the region by original instrumental music, which represents the synthesis of various elements played in jazz, swing and classical manner. These elements create their "Balkan swing – jazz guitar – ethno – world fusion," and their trademark is the six-hand playing on one guitar.
These two concerts are just a part of events organised by the Tourist Organization of Budva for the postseason. On September 12, the TO announced classical music performance by the Italian orchestra "Magna Graecia", which will perform a concert entitled "Concert for peace".
