July 11, 2018 - The transfer of petrol coke, as a new job for the company "AD Luka Bar", realized after several months of negotiations and one of the most important business arrangements for the company in 2018, has brought the ship of the Montenegrin fleet " DVADESETPRVI MAJ" for the first time in Montenegro. The ship “DVADESETPRVI MAJ”, owned by the company “Crnogorska Plovidba” from Kotor, and currently sailing under the flag of Montenegro, has sailed into the Montenegrin harbor in Bar this morning.

The stock company “Luka Bar” had earlier announced that the ship is coming due to the company's newly-formed business and that over 33,000 tons of petrol coke that will be imported on behalf of the company "Cemex", will be transferred to a new warehouse. “CEMEX S.A.B. de C.V.”, known as Cemex, is a Mexican multinational building materials company headquartered in San Pedro, near Monterrey, Mexico. The company manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates in more than 50 countries. It is the second largest building materials company worldwide.

As stated in the reports of “Luka Bar”, thanks to the planned and intensive investments of the past months in equipment, machinery and port infrastructure, a new amount of petrol coke is ready, and with every new delivery of cargo, the justification for investment and investment is shown. The company expects that over 130,000 tons of petrol will be transshipped via the Port of Bar this year, and given the dynamics of the transshipments, there are reasonable expectations that this quantity will be even higher.

"DVADESETPRVI MAJ", together with the boar “KOTOR”, is the first "real" cross-country ship that entered the national register after a break of almost 20 years. “DVADESETPRVI MAJ” is a Bulk Carrier built in 2012 in China, with a beam of 28 meters, an overall length of 180 meters, and gross tonnage of 22456 tons. “DVADESETPRVI MAJ” is the boat’s official name, and marks the date May 21st, when Montenegro celebrates its independence day. Today, the board of directors of AD Crnogorska plovidba will be held on board. Also, the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Osman Nurković, who is currently located in Bar, will have the chance to visit the boat today.
