June 06, 2018 - Northern Poland hosted roadshow from the 4th to 7th of June in the Polish towns including Gdansk, Szczecin, Poznan, and Lodz. The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, as a partner of this roadshow that is mainly led by AviaReps”, had the opportunity to present Montenegro through the presentations of various locations and destinations to the Polish tourism industry.

Participation in this roadshow aimed to increase the visibility and presence of Montenegro in the Polish market, to introduce Montenegrin tourist destinations to the people of Poland, establish new contacts as well as deepen the cooperation with the existing partners to increase the Montenegrin tourist offer in their travel programs. Presentations were attended by some of the most important companies from all over Poland, such as “Nekermann”, “Itaka”, “Wega”, “Rainbow” and “Nat”, who is a new tourist operator on Polish market and who is particularly interested in Montenegro as a tourist destination.

This is the first in a series of activities implemented by the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro in cooperation with AviaReps, a global network that connects the tourism sector and airlines. In September, participation in the AviaReps roadshow in the cities of Southern Poland is being prepared and arranged, as well as the online training process for participants from both roadshows. After these activities, participants who express most interest in Montenegro are given an organized study trip to Montenegro, which will include a workshop with the Montenegrin tourism industry, as well as an organized trip which features some of the most beautiful destinations of Montenegro. Also, companies “Balticas”, as well as the Polish national airline company “Lot”, will take part in this event and they will provide participants with the airline tickets.

National Tourism Organization of Montenegro records an increasing number of tourists from Poland each year. In 2017 this rate increased by 5.9% compared to the previous year, while the amount of the overnight stays increased by 4.4%. National Tourism Organization plans to organize a study visit of renowned media as well as to take part in the organization of tourism fair “TT Warsaw” which will also take place in Poland.
