25 September 2018 - Earlier this month, the Capital of Montenegro, in cooperation with the company Amplitudo, announced their plans related to launching a mobile application My Tree, so that all interested individuals and companies can purchase a tree, plant it on one of the sites that will be determined by PE Zelenilo and monitor its growth. The entire My Tree campaign has shown great progress, as numerous individuals and organizations have expressed interest in providing help in order to make Podgorica a greener city.
“Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem AD” donated 3,262 EUR for the purpose of participation in the project "My Tree", and in that way, by purchasing 22 seedlings, this company will provide the means necessary to equip the entire location in Kralja Nikole Street in Podgorica. In addition, employees of this company have expressed willingness to participate in planting trees on this park surface. Aside from CGES, seedlings were also bought by the company "g3spirits" in the amount of 486 EUR. Interest was also shown by a large number of other companies from the banking, financial, service, telecommunication and other sectors.
Great results and huge interest, even in the preliminary phase, are the best indicators of the justification and quality of the project that should officially begin in the next ten days, by launching the "My Tree" application for Android and iOS operating systems.
After the application is launched, all interested parties will feel its simplicity. When the application is downloaded and launched, a map of the city will be displayed. In the beginning, five locations will be marked, which are defined as public green areas within which a tree can be planted. By clicking on the detailed map, you can select the place to plant, as well as the offered seedlings that Zelenilo has specified as possible for each place. After that, any payment card can be used to make a donation for purchasing the seedling. This money goes directly to the account of Zelenilo and after a certain period of time, Zelenilo will plant the tree, and the user will receive the notification on their phone, by push notification or e-mail. The application will also be updated in order to show a picture of the individuals who bought the tree or the logo of the company. The planting dates are from the end of October to the end of the year and from March to May next year.
The project "My Tree" is a joint project of the Capital City, the company "Amplitudo" and the public enterprise Zelenilo, which gives the opportunity to all interested individuals, organizations and companies to contribute in a planned and sustainable way to the greening of Podgorica.
