September 10, 2018 - The Petrovac Jazz Festival is slowly entering its final dates, and from tonight the event moves to the Budva Citadel where Zdenka Kovačiček will perform at 9 pm. The entrance is free.

The weekend at the Petrovac Jazz Festival was marked by Slovak saxophonist Radovan Tariska, who performed the night before last on the terrace of the Castello Fortress on the thirteenth night of this event. Though he has his own compositions, he has decided to play solo jazz standards for the public in Petrovac.

"I'm happy about how the audience reacted, and I am happy to do this job because I have the opportunity to travel, meet people, and see their happy faces while listening to us. I'm doing a dream job so after every concert I'm always happy," Tariska commented.

The cooperation between the Petrovac jazz festival and Tariska continues as the musician will be the promoter of this Montenegrin event in Slovakia.

"I hope that next year we will also play in Petrovac, but my mission will be to bring my colleagues to the festival to promote their work," Tariska promised.

Last night, the Petrovac jazz festival continued with the performance of the Montenegrin composition of Dr. Wolf and Children of the Night on the terrace of Castello Fortress. In the repertoire of the Cetinje-Podgorica ensemble, there were jazz, blues, soul and funk standards.

"I come with a band of eight people, with whom I've celebrated 60 years of work last year. The repertoire will include jazz and pop and rock, and of course Janis Joplin, who I played in a musical," announced Kovačiček.
