September 3, 2018 - This year, the last day of August was yet again reserved for the spectacular manifestation “The Eve of Spič“, held in Sutomore, which marks the end of the high tourist season in Montenegro.
The manifestation “The Eve of Spič“, known for its quality traditional and entertainment program, included the sounds from the famous Montenegrin rock band, Akademija, followed by the incredible performance by Nina Badrić.
The program of “The Eve of Spič“ started with the ceremonial march of the majorettes from the dance studio “Habanera”, members of the folklore ensemble “Sveti Jovan Vladimir” and the orchestra from Đenovići. The march began in front of the hotel "Južno more" and ended in front of the Square of Captain Filip Obradović, where the traditional and entertaining part of the program was held. The main part of the program included on-stage performances by the folklore ensemble "Sveti Jovan Vladimir", ethno singer Danica Nikić Crnogorčević from Bar, folklore ensemble "Jedinstvo" and Montenegrin traditional music singer Zdravko Đuranović.
The performer Zdravko Đuranović had the honour to sing "The Hymn of Spič" to the Sutomore audience, and later the sky was lit from the burning colours of incredible fireworks that kept bursting at high speed, followed by the ovations from the audience.
After a short break, the entertainment program of the festival was continued by the rock band Akademija, and the atmosphere reached its peak when the Croatian diva, Nina Badrić, took over the stage.
All visitors were impressed with a rich offer from the ethno bazaar, where winemakers, beekeepers, olive growers and artists exhibited their products, and local specialties were served free of charge to all visitors.
The manifestation was organized by Tourist Organisation Bar, Bar Municipality and NGA "Novo i ljepše Sutomore", which was the initiator of this event.
